Tips and Tricks
This page describes some of the tips for you available in the mapper. More stuff can also be found in the mhelp file.
Swimming
Use vm config swim (or vmap config swim) to toggle swimming. Be careful though and watch your health if you don't have fluidswim!
Galloping/dashing/sprinting
The mapper can make use of gallop, dash, or sprint if you have it to get you to your destination even faster. To do so, simply prefix gallop/dash/sprint into the goto command - for example, "goto cyrene gallop" or "goto 1 dash".
Updating your map
Use vmap update to update your map (not the mapper). Sometimes this breaks though and the mapper can't find itself - if that happens, try vmap update force.
Help! It broke
If you're being spammed in the console with something like this:
Can't link room 4 (The Halls of Oppression.) to 15275. (special exit)
Can't link room 7 (Pestilent way.) to 15239. (special exit)
Can't link room 23 (Abomination road.) to 15242. (special exit)
Can't link room 1 (Stygian crossroads.) to 15233. (special exit)
Then delete the IMap file, download the latest mapper, extract the archive and copy vadi_mapper.dll (or .so) into the systems folder. Login, do vmap update, and you should be good to go.
If this doesn't work, get in touch for help.
Sewers
If you'd like not to get dragged through some unfriendly sewers, use the vm config sewer_grates to disable the mapper from walking in the sewers.
Floating map window
If you'd like to always have the map showing for you, and your client supports MXP frames (zmud and cmud do), then you can do vmap window mxp to open it up.
entry point could not be located...
If you're receiving the following error:
The procedure entry point g_set_rror_literal could not be located in the dynamic link library libglib-2.0-0.dll
Then delete the libglib-2.0-0.dll file that can be found where the mb-core.exe is. The reason for this error is that a newer one comes with the system now and they conflict.
