| How to Import Scripts in Nexus |
| |
A script is a group of settings - triggers, aliases, and variables - that work together to automate or enhance gameplay. While Nexus now offers the ability to import and export entire scripts and systems all at once, it is still possible to make additions manually. To do this, each setting must be copied and pasted into the settings editor. |
|
Step 1.
Find the source of the script that you are going to be copying. In this example we will simply go over how to import one item, the "pp" alias from the free Autosipper v.2, which is found on this website.
Here is the page that details the "pp" alias. |

Step 2.
Highlight and copy the alias name from the original script file or website. Here the alias name is simply "pp". |

Step 3.
You will need to be logged into your character, through the Nexus client. From the main playing screen, enter the reflex editor by pressing the lower blue button on the left. |

Step 4.
From the new window that will pop up after pressing that button, select the option to create a new alias, which is symbolized by a bolt of lightning. |

Step 5.
Paste the alias name, which you have already copied, into the first blank field on the right side of the new page which has popped up. This field is next to the lightning bolt. |

Step 6.
Go back to the original script. Highlight and copy the entire "script" * of the alias, which will be everything beneath the alias name. Be sure not to leave out anything, such as a single } at the end.
* This second use of the word "script", which, in Nexus, means the block of commands in an alias or trigger, should not be confused with the general term, also called script, which means an entire collection of settings (aliases, triggers and variables) used to automate or enhance gameplay.
This block of commands is also occasionally referred to as the value, content, or body of a setting. |

Step 7.
Go back to the reflex editor, and paste the "script" that you just copied into the third and largest field, next to the word "Script:". |

Step 8.
Click "save" in the upper right corner of the reflex editor. |

Step 9.
Your newly created alias should now show up in the list on the left side of the screen. |

That's it! Repeat this process for every alias and trigger listed in your original script. While most variables are created automatically by the script itself, you may occasionally have to import those as well. The process for importing both triggers and variables is the same as what is outlined in the guide above.
Also note that sometimes you will also have to include a group name for a particular setting. Simply copy and paste this from the original script, into the second blank field, next to "Group:" in the reflex editor, while you are working on a particular setting. If no group is required, then a setting will automatically go into the "default" group, as was the case above.
