How to Avoid Nexus Wipes

As of April 22nd, Aeyr has fixed three bugs in Nexus - the archiving problem people were having with Java 6, the delete bug where you had to delete something twice for it to get really deleted (or delete once, and refresh the list), and, even more importantly the wipe bug where you were not allowed to relogin to the same window was fixed too!

So now you can feel safe when logging in and out of Nexus using the same window. That said, we still recommend some things to ensure you do not accidentally lose settings:

Archive your settings.

Nexus provides four slots for archiving your settings. This is an equivalent of saving a game on an gaming platform, where you're given # number of slots to save your game. Always, when you are QUITting Achaea, archive your settings.

Load your archives every time.

Just like in any gaming platform where you need to load your game to continue to play, you need to load your archive every time you log into Achaea just to be safe.

Load new settings from the server.

If you ever receive the following message -

- always say yes . It is selected by default for a reason. Loading the archive from the server is much safer than using ones you have on your computer already, since these might be corrupted (this is the most common cause of Nexus "wiping" your settings - people choose to use the corrupted settings that they have already instead of loading them from the server).
